Chirp...Chirp...learning with our feathered friends... 🐧🪿🐥🐥🦜🦚🦜🦆🐔🐦 flying high with kindness✨✨✨✨ Birdie Day was joyfully celebrated at Chinmaya Shishuvatika on 12.1.2026 to nurture love, care, and sensitivity towards birds and nature among the tiny tots.The celebration began with a lively discussion on different birds, their sounds, colours, and habitats. Children enthusiastically participated in various activities such as bird rhyme, storytelling ,show and talk , action songs,etc. Children wore colourful bird masks and brought pictures of different birds which added vibrancy and excitement to the celebration.The teachers explained that in Indian heritage, birds are respected as symbols of divinity, freedom and harmony. Children were also explained about different birds mentioned in our culture.Through these activities, children learned to observe nature closely and developed empathy for living beings.The celebration successfully created awareness about bird conservation while making learning joyful and meaningful. Birdie Day celebration truly reflected the values of love, harmony and respect for all life.

Chinmaya Science Olympiad was successfully conducted on 21 January 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Olympiad provided students with an excellent platform to apply scientific concepts, enhance analytical thinking, and demonstrate their problem-solving skills. Students participated with enthusiasm and concentration, reflecting their preparation and curiosity for learning science. The examination was conducted smoothly under the able supervision of the invigilators, Ms. Praveena C. K. and Ms. Akarsha Santhosh, ensuring a disciplined and well-organized academic environment.

The Two-Day Annual Medical Check-Up for the students was successfully conducted on 21st and 22nd January under the aegis of the Family Health Centre, Kollengode. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kollengode extends its sincere gratitude to the dedicated medical team of the Family Health Centre, led by Dr. Boby Mani, for their valuable guidance and support in fostering the health and well-being of our students.

As part of the 37th National Road Safety Week, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, R.S. Puram, in association with the Traffic Police Department, organized a Road Safety and Anti-Drug Awareness Rally. The rally was kickstarted by Smt. R. Jayalakshmi, Principal, inspiring students with her encouragement and support. Students of Classes VIII & IX actively participated by distributing awareness badges, voicing impactful slogans, and holding placards on road safety measures and anti-drug messages, along with eye-catching posters to educate and sensitize the public. Young voices spreading awareness for a safer and healthier society!
