Induction Program for Std. XI (आरंभ) - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
02-May-2026Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro organized an Orientation and Induction Program for the students who have taken admission to Class XI for the academic session 2026–27 on Tuesday. The program was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, Shri Ajay Nath Jha, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro; President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary; Shri R. N. Malik, Treasurer; Shri Suraj Sharma, Principal; Shri Narendra Kumar, Senior Vice Principal; and Dr. Roshan Sharma, Vice Principal. The program commenced with the presentation of a sapling to the Chief Guest as a symbol of respect and environmental consciousness. This was followed by a welcome song presented by the students. A special video showcasing the celebrations and achievements of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav was then screened. Welcoming the gathering, Principal extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and congratulated all the students for their commendable performance in the Class X Board Examination. He emphasized that Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro consistently strives for the holistic development and success of its students. He also highlighted the school’s major achievements and accomplishments before the parents and students. The program continued with a graceful dance presentation of Saraswati Vandana by the students, creating a serene and divine atmosphere. This was followed by a virtual tour of the school. The program anchors, Apoorva Jha and Aniket Jaiswal, acquainted the audience with the various facilities provided by the school and its outstanding results in competitive examinations. Thereafter, the Chief Guest felicitated students who had excelled in the Class X Board Examination by presenting them with cheques worth ₹15,000 each as a token of appreciation for their achievement. Addressing the gathering, Shri Ajay Nath Jha stated that admission to Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro is itself a matter of pride. He remarked that the students of the institution have consistently brought laurels not only to the district but also to the state and the nation. He emphasized that the unique strength of Chinmaya Vidyalaya lies in its harmonious blend of culture and values. Along with academic excellence, students are nurtured with a deep connection to Indian traditions and heritage. He particularly addressed the girl students, encouraging them to recognize and fulfil their significant role in the nation’s development. In her address, Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati remarked that Chinmaya Vidyalaya provides an environment that is much more than a school—it is a family for its students. She highlighted that while academic knowledge is important, becoming a good human being is even more essential. She reiterated that the school remains committed to the inclusive and holistic development of every student. Subsequently, Senior Vice Principal Shri Narendra Kumar introduced the faculty members of all subjects and the administrative staff to the new students and their parents. Mrs. Sudha Bala from the IT Department familiarized the parents and students with the school website and digital platforms. Towards the end of the program, Ishan Sinha and Aditya Ranjan, successful candidates of JEE Advanced 2026, shared their experiences and insights with the newly admitted students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma.
Capacity Building Programme at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
02-May-2026One-Day Capacity Building Workshop was successfully organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Saturday dated 2.4.26 at the Swami Tejomayananda Hall. The workshop was centered on the theme ‘Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL)’. The session was conducted by the resource persons, Mr. Suraj Sharma, Principal of the school, and Mrs. Riya Mukherjee, Head of the English Department at Samford International Academy, Jainamore. The programme was also graced by the presence of Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. The workshop commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious welcome song presented by the teachers of the Music Department. Social Awareness is Essential from an Early Age: Mr. Suraj Sharma In the opening session, the first resource person, Mr. Suraj Sharma, addressed the teachers and highlighted the importance of nurturing social awareness in students from a young age. He emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, children are gradually becoming disconnected from society, making it essential to instill empathy and sensitivity in them.
In House Teacher Training at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
29-Apr-2026The two-day in-house training workshop at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, successfully concluded today, on Thursday. Centered on the theme "Competency-Based Assessment," the program aimed to refine pedagogical skills in alignment with contemporary educational frameworks. The session featured Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma as the keynote speaker, with the esteemed presence of Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma and Senior Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar. On the second and final day of the workshop, Dr. Roshan Sharma provided a concise recapitulation of the inaugural day's proceedings. This was followed by an interactive session where faculty members participated in subject-specific group activities. The primary objective was the construction of competency-based question papers. Educators collaborated to design a variety of assessment tools, including: Fundamental (Simple) Questions Inclusive Assessment Queries Value-Based Questions Competency-Oriented Tasks Addressing the teachers, Dr. Sharma emphasized that the National Education Policy (NEP) - 2020 mandates a shift toward making education more accessible and inclusive. He asserted that it is imperative to move beyond rote, textbook-centric learning to provide students with practical, real-world knowledge. Furthermore, he highlighted that the integration of value-based and competency-oriented questions into the evaluation system is essential. He noted that the CBSE’s vision is to equip students for a competitive academic landscape starting from the foundational levels of schooling.
Jal Pakhwada 2026 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
28-Apr-2026Jal Pakhwada was observed with great enthusiasm at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro from 16/04/2026 to 30/04/2026. The fortnight-long programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of water conservation and proper water management. Students of Classes VI to IX actively participated in a variety of meaningful and creative activities organized during the period. These included Jal Sapath (Water Pledge), Painting and Poster Designing Competitions on the theme of water conservation, a Quiz Competition on water conservation, and PowerPoint Presentations on prevention from water-borne diseases. The activities helped students understand the value of water as a precious natural resource and encouraged them to adopt responsible habits for saving water in their daily lives. Students and teachers wholeheartedly participated in all the programmes, making Jal Pakhwada a grand success. On this occasion honorable Principal Sir Shri Suraj Sharma said that such celebrations not only spread awareness but also inspires everyone to contribute towards a sustainable and water-secure future.
KIIT Educator Seminar at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
25-Apr-2026With the aim of inspiring and guiding students, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro regularly organizes workshops. The keynote speaker for the session was Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT. Principal, Mr. Suraj Sharma; Senior Vice-Principal, Mr. Narmendra Kumar; and Vice-Principal, Dr. Roshan Sharma were present. The session was organized for the students of Class XII. The programme commenced with the presentation of a sapling to the keynote speaker, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Gurudev. Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma introduced Prof. Panigrahi to the students. Emphasizing the significance of Class XII as a crucial phase in a student’s life, he encouraged students to give their best with complete dedication and sincerity. He also urged them to clear all doubts and take proper decisions during this crucial stage, which plays a vital role in shaping their future. In his address, Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi shared valuable insights into career planning and introduced students to various opportunities at KIIT. He highlighted key principles for success, engaged students actively and appreciated the commendable efforts of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro in the field of education. Towards the end of the session, a short assessment was conducted. Based on their performance, the top four students were felicitated with certificates of appreciation from KIIT.

Earth Day 2026 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
22-Apr-2026The Earth Day, celebrated annually on 22 April, is a significant occasion dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection and promoting sustainable practices. It reminds us of our responsibility to care for the planet and encourages collective action toward a greener future. Chinmaya Vidyalaya celebrated Earth Day 2026 on the theme " Our Power, Our Planet" through a variety of meaningful activities that engage students and inspire environmental consciousness. One of the most impactful activities is *tree plantation* where students actively participate in planting saplings, understanding the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and combating climate change. A poster making competition was conducted which allows students to creatively express their thoughts and ideas on themes such as saving the environment, conserving energy, and reducing pollution. These posters serve as powerful visual messages that spread awareness within the school community. Additionally students take part in pledge taking ceremony, where they commit to protecting the environment by adopting eco-friendly habits such as saving water and electricity, reducing waste, and respecting nature. Thus such events encourages students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to a sustainable and healthy planet.

Fire Safety Mock Drill 2026 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
17-Apr-2026Fire Safety Mock Drill was organized on the occasion of Fire Service Week, today at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro by the Bokaro Fire Department. The event was graced by Fire Officer Shri Bhagwan Ojha, along with other officials Raja Ram Mohanty, Praveen Toppo, and Bablu Yadav. Students, teachers and office staff assembled in the sports ground. The Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Shri Roshan Sharma were also present. The session commenced with an informative address by Fire Officer Shri Bhagwan Ojha, who provided detailed insights into fire safety. He explained the four categories of fire and the appropriate methods to control and extinguish each type effectively. Advising the students he emphasized the importance of staying calm during fire emergencies.
