Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat 2026 - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Live
02-Aug-2026Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, successfully organised the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" programme along with an online interactive session with the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on 2nd August 2026 in the school Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to inspire students to lead a drug-free life and contribute towards building a developed India. As a part of the nationwide campaign, the school had already organised several awareness activities, including a Prabhat Pheri (awareness rally), debate competition, pledge-taking ceremony, and other awareness programmes to promote the message of a drug-free India. The event was graced by Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro; Shri R. N. Malick, Treasurer, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro; Shri Suraj Sharma, Principal; Shri Narmendra Kumar, Senior Vice-Principal; and Dr. Roshan Sharma, Vice-Principal. The programme was attended by 375 students and teachers. The programme commenced with the Shanti Path, followed by the chanting of Geeta Panchamrit, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Students presented inspiring speeches, slam poetry, and a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of a healthy, responsible lifestyle. Rashi of Class XII efficiently anchored the programme. A Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge was administered, with all the dignitaries, teachers, and students taking a solemn oath to remain free from drugs and to spread awareness in society. The participants then enthusiastically joined the online interactive session with the Hon'ble Prime Minister, gaining valuable insights into the vision of a Viksit Bharat and the vital role of youth in nation-building. The programme concluded on a patriotic and inspiring note, leaving the students motivated to become responsible citizens committed to a healthy, drug-free, and progressive India.

Parents Interaction Session on CBSE's New Academic Framework - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
30-Jul-2026In line with the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) implementation of a revised academic framework for the 2026–27 session, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro conducted a special 'Parents Interaction Session' on Thursday, July 30, to familiarize parents of Class IX students with the newly introduced curriculum and assessment structure. The session was addressed by Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma, who explained the key features of the revised curriculum and highlighted the significance of the changes introduced by CBSE. During the session Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Senior Vice Principal Shri Narendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma were also present. Addressing the parents, Shri Suraj Sharma explained that under the revised curriculum, students of Class IX will study seven compulsory subjects, categorized into three broad domains. He emphasized that the revised curriculum offers students greater flexibility while promoting multidisciplinary learning and holistic development. Shri Sharma informed parents that students aspiring for higher education and competitive examinations will have the opportunity to opt for Advanced Level Mathematics and Science. He further explained that the revised assessment system will place greater emphasis on analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding, moving beyond the traditional rote-learning approach. Highlighting the importance of parental involvement, Shri Sharma remarked that the guidance, encouragement and consistent monitoring provided by parents are fundamental to a child's academic success. He stressed that learning should continue beyond the classroom, with parents actively supporting and reviewing their children's studies at home.
Magic Show by Illusionist Dr. Shibaji - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
29-Jul-2026Renowned International magician Dr. Shibaji presented a magic and illusion show at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, on Wednesday, July 29. A large number of students and teachers attended this special event. Dignitaries present included Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati (Resident Acharya, Chinmaya Mission Bokaro), Shri Mahesh Tripathi (Secretary), Shri RN Malik (Treasurer), Shri Suraj Sharma (Principal), Shri Narmendra Kumar (Senior Vice Principal) and Dr. Roshan Sharma (Vice Principal). Magician Dr. Shibaji began the event—packed with magical feats and illusion tricks—by explaining the nuances of magic to the students. He amazed the audience by transforming a burning rod into a flower and astonished everyone by producing a pigeon from a book. A special paper trick performed by the magician left the students spellbound. The sound of applause from the students echoed throughout the event, and everyone appeared impressed by the unique art of magic. Addressing the students during the performance, Dr. Shibaji stated that magic is not black magic, occult practices, or something from an otherworldly realm; rather, it is a skillful blend of science, mathematics, and sleight of hand. He also taught a few magic tricks to the students and thanked the school management for organizing the event. School Principal Shri Suraj Sharma remarked that Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, is not merely a center for academic knowledge but a powerful medium for the holistic development of students. Such creative and entertaining programs help foster imagination, curiosity, self-confidence, and positive thinking in children. He expressed his gratitude to Magician Dr. Shibaji and his wife, Lisha.

Students and teachers participated enthusiastically in the celebration through prayers, devotional offerings, and cultural presentations, expressing their gratitude to the Guru Parampara. Guru Paduka Puja on Guru Purnima 2026 - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
29-Jul-2026On Wednesday, July 29, the festival was observed with great reverence and devotion at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. On this special day, Paduka Puja was conducted, honoring the most revered Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, the Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, presided over the ritual. Also present were Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Treasurer Shri RN Malik, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. The Guru Paduka Puja commenced with a remembrance of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Following the worship of his Padukas, students and teachers collectively chanted the 108 names of Swami Chinmayananda and offered flowers of devotion at his feet. The ceremony concluded with the Aarti of Gurudev and a period of meditation focused on him. Subsequently, Prasad was distributed to the students. Speaking on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Swamini Samyuktananda remarked that the wisdom of the Gita, disseminated globally by Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, remains eternal. His teachings and life story serve as a source of inspiration for all. She noted that Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, continues to progress along the path shown by Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, scaling new heights of success. She also extended her Guru Purnima greetings to all the residents of Bokaro.
NCC Training and Inspection - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro
29-Jul-2026Students at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, are learning the values of discipline through the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The school houses the 1 Naval Unit of the NCC, where students learn naval training, discipline and leadership qualities. On Wednesday, July 29, the school organized its monthly NCC training session. Petty Officer S. K. Gupta and Petty Officer Amit Singh from the Indian Navy were present as instructors. They briefed the student cadets on the nuances of the Navy and imparted hands-on training. School Principal Suraj Sharma and Senior Vice Principal Narmendra Kumar were also present during the event. During the training, both officers provided the NCC cadets with insights into: Sub-navigation and direction-finding How to join the Indian Navy Armed forces, ships, submarines and aircraft The officers also highlighted the finer points of discipline and conducted drill sessions for the cadets. The students enthusiastically asked questions related to their curiosity and learned closely about the Indian Navy. On this occasion, Principal Suraj Sharma emphasized the importance of discipline in student life, noting that, "NCC instills discipline in students and enhances their sense of responsibility." He expressed his gratitude to both Petty Officers and added that students at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, have always shown a keen interest in the NCC, expressing confidence that they will achieve great success in this field in the future.
