CELEBRATING NATIONAL HANDLOOM DAY--- THREADS OF TRADITION

Comparison and competition have increasingly become major sources of stress for most students today. To encourage students and provide them with ways to reduce stress, a special workshop was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro on Friday, August 7. As part of the Peace Education Programme, representatives from The Prem Rawat Foundation were present at Swami Tapovan Hall to address the young minds. Among them were Ranchi Postal Inspector Mr. Uday Kumar, and members of The Prem Rawat Foundation, Mrs. Reema Devi and Mrs. Sonali Devi. School Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma were also present. The workshop commenced with the presentation of saplings to the keynote speaker, Uday Kumar and other dignitaries. Following this, Mrs. Smriti Vohra hosted the event and welcomed all the guests and students. The ceremonial lamp was lit to seek the blessings of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Keynote speaker Uday Kumar then addressed the students, introducing them to The Prem Rawat Foundation, its initiative and the life of Mr. Prem Rawat. He subsequently shared Mr. Rawat's perspectives with the students through a video presentation. Mr. Uday Kumar advised the students to always listen to the voice of their heart before their mind. He explained that while the mind approaches tasks and situations professionally, the heart carries a more practical emotional intelligence. He added that throughout life, the heart ultimately seeks peace and comfort; embracing these two qualities can simplify the path to success and reduce life's hardships. Reflecting on the theme of the workshop, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma noted, that students often experience high levels of stress, making inner peace essential for them. He stated that combining hard work, inner peace and smart work guarantees success. He emphasized that students must learn contentment and avoid comparing themselves with others in any form. To conclude, he expressed his gratitude to all the representatives of The Prem Rawat Foundation present and honored them with books.
