Capacity Building Program on Gender Sensitivity at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro

A one-day Capacity Building Program (CBP) was successfully organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, on Saturday, 4th April, focusing on the theme of Gender Sensitivity. The workshop was conducted by esteemed resource persons, Mr. Shiv Shankar Yadav and Mrs. Soni Shalini. The programme was graced by the presence of the School Secretary, Mr. Mahesh Tripathi; Principal, Mr. Suraj Sharma; Senior Vice-Principal, Mr. Narmendra Kumar; and Vice-Principal, Dr. Roshan Sharma. The session commenced with the presentation of saplings to the resource persons, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in reverence to the revered Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati.

On April 3rd, 'Chinmaya Smiles Back' (the alumni association) organized a scholarship examination under the 'Pratibha Poshan Yojana.' Meritorious students from economically weaker sections across various parts of the district appeared for this examination. A total of 674 students from 150 different schools participated in the scholarship test. Present on this occasion were members of 'Chinmaya Smiles Back,' including Amarendra Narayan, Sanjeev Mishra, Srishti, Amrita, and others. School's Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi; Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma and Vice-Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar, were also present. Students from 150 private and government schools participated in the exam, comprising 156 students from Class 7, 166 from Class 8, 190 from Class 9 and 162 from Class 10. From this group, 50 selected students will be awarded scholarships under the 'Yojana.' Under this scholarship program, selected students will receive financial assistance as follows: Class 7 students will receive ₹5,200 Class 8 students with ₹6,200 Class 9 students with ₹7,200 Class 10 students with ₹8,200

The auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanti - 2026 was celebrated across the globe with deep reverence and devotion as the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. On this special day, 11 times Hanuman Chalisa Path was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. During this event, more than 500 devotees from across the district gathered in the school's Swami Tapovan Hall to recite Hanuman Chalisa. Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati graced the occasion with her divine presence, serving as the spiritual guide for the evening. Present at the event were school's President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay; Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi; Treasurer, Shri R.N. Malik; Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma and Vice-Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar, alongside Shri Bipul Singh, the Principal of Rainbow Public School.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, organized a joint celebration for Kindergarten Graduation and Grandparents' Day on Friday, 20th March 2026. The event was graced by the presence of school's Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi; Treasurer, Shri R.N. Malik; Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma and Vice-Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar. The program commenced with a melodious welcome song. Following this, the distinguished guests were formally welcomed with sapling presentation. The proceedings then moved forward with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking the blessings of Param Pujya Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. The Program flow was as below: 'United India' - a fusion dance depicting the vibrant cultures from different states Western Dance by Class Prep students 'Identify the apple of your eye' - Special game for the Grandparents "Jungle Dance" by the Nursery and Pre-Nursery students Balls into bucket Game for the grandparents The highlight of the program was a theatrical enactment of the 'Ramayana'. Scenes depicting key events—ranging from the birth of Lord Rama and the 'Sita Swayamvar' to Rama's exile, the abduction of Sita, and Lord Rama's triumphant return to the city of Ayodhya—were dramatically portrayed. Students of Classes 1 and 2 performed this magnificent presentation. Following this, a special video was screened for all parents present at the event, featuring photographs of the Prep-class students alongside their grandparents. Watching this, the eyes of everyone in the auditorium appeared moist with emotion. Additionally, the parents were shown a PowerPoint presentation, which featured Swami Swaroopananda Ji, Global Head, Chinmaya Mission, extending an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Chinmaya Mission's *Amrit Utsav*.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro is organizing a two-day non residential Bal Vihar Camp on 18th and 19th March, 2026. Children from Std. III to V are participating in this camp. These two days are going to be filled with energy, joy, happiness, learnings and activities. On the 1st day of the camp, children participated in various fun activities. During the Inaugural Session, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma lighted the auspicious ceremonial light. After this, children enjoyed the yoga session. Following this, children enjoyed some fun games activities. Also, children were involved in music, dance and craft works. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma said that children should enjoy everyday and learn from every aspect of life. He said, that knowledge is not only confined to books and copies, but an interesting game or a fun craft activity can also make children learn and know new things.

Bookish knowledge is not everything children should know. Especially, for the tiny tots of Pre - Primary and Primary Sections, visual exposure and real life experiences play an important role in their learning process. In regard to this, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro organized a two day 'Funfinity' Camp for the little children of Prep and Std. I & II. The children of Prep class went to Amrut Park for expedition and exploring new things. They enjoyed and explored nature and enjoyed various fun activities. The outing filled the young learners with joy, making their learning experience lively and memorable.

A one-day In-house Training Workshop on “Learning Outcomes and Pedagogy” was conducted at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Wednesday, 11 March. The Capacity Building Programme (CBP) was inaugurated with ceremonial lighting of the lamp by School's Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Treasurer Shri R. N. Malik, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma and Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar. The programme commenced with a soulful welcome song presented by the School’s choir creating a soulful atmosphere. Dr. Charlotte Regina John, Head of the Department of Education at St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, graced the occasion as the Resource Person. Dr. Regina conducted the workshop in an engaging and insightful manner, guiding teachers on strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and adopt effective and contemporary teaching methodologies.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro organized a grand Induction Program for the students admitted to Pre-Nursery and Classes II to IX for the new academic session 2026–27, along with their parents, in the school auditorium on Wednesday, March 11. More than 700 parents attended the program. During the session, they were provided with detailed information about the school’s achievements, teaching methodologies, infrastructure, and various facilities available for the holistic development of students. The program was graced by Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Treasurer Shri R. N. Malik, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious welcome song to greet the distinguished guests and parents.

"We believe in standing taller and making difference." 40 students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro scored above 90 percentile in JEE Mains Phase - 1 Results 2026 Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, has once again excelled in the JEE Mains results. The results for Phase 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), have been declared. According to information received so far, over 67 students of CV, Bokaro have outshined in the results. Ishan Sinha topped the exam with a 99.727 percentile. Aryan came in second with a 99.589 percentile. A total of 40 students scored above 90 percentile. After the results were announced, Acharya Swamini Sanyuktananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, School's president, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice-Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar congratulated all the successful students. The successful students were invited to the school, and President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, distributed sweets to them. The entire school is filled with joy over the students' outstanding performance. Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi and Principal Shri Suraj Sharma said, that Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro has always been a leader in results, and this is proved this time too. They congratulated all the students and wished them well for the next stage of the exam. They said that even better performances will be seen in the JEE Advanced exam. They also wished the students the best of luck for their Board Exams.

Students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro had the opportunity to witness Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on 9th February 2026. Organized just ahead of the Annual and Board Examinations, the interactive session aimed at motivating students and easing examination-related stress. Through virtual interaction, the Hon’ble Prime Minister inspired students to approach examinations with a calm mind and positive attitude. The session proved to be especially beneficial for the students of Class VI to XII, who gained valuable guidance and motivational insights.
