Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro organized a comprehensive In - House Training on "Stress Management" and "Attitude of Gratitude" on Wednesday, June 10. The session on "Stress Management" was facilitated by resource persons Shri Rahul Roy and Smt. Supriya Choudhary. Concurrently, the session on "Attitude of Gratitude" was led by the Chairman of the institution, Shri Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay. The event was attended by the Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi; Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma; Senior Vice Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar; and Vice Principal, Dr. Roshan Sharma, alongside the entire teaching faculty and staff members. Key Sessions and Proceedings 1. Stress Management: Understanding the Core Dimensions Initiating the workshop, resource person Shri Rahul Roy delivered an in-depth presentation on the origins, causes, and various dimensions of stress. He emphasized that a stress-laden lifestyle acts as a detriment to educators, warning that such negative energy can inadvertently impact students during classroom interactions. He urged the faculty to identify and actively distance themselves from personal and professional stressors. Building upon the discourse, Smt. Supriya Choudhary focused on practical stress-management strategies. She highlighted the critical responsibility of educators to effectively address and resolve stressors affecting both themselves and their students. Smt. Choudhary shared several pragmatic and impactful recommendations for eliminating stress, underscoring the absolute necessity of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. 2. Cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude Deliberating on the "Attitude of Gratitude," Chairman Shri Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay posited that educators must embody gratitude within themselves before attempting to instill it in students. He said, "Inspire students through your core values, ensuring they remember and internalize these principles throughout their lives. Significant systemic change is always achieved through progressive, small steps." Shri Mukhopadhyay further expounded on the philosophy of Pancha Yajna (the five sacred duties), concluding that the spirit of thankfulness cannot merely be taught through conventional pedagogy; rather, it must be deeply internalized and demonstrated through action.

Demonstrating academic excellence and consistency, the students secured remarkable results, making the institution and the entire Bokaro district proud. In the overall results, Aditi Sagar from the Commerce stream emerged as the school topper by securing an exceptional 99.2% marks. She was followed by Mehnaz Alam from the Science stream with 96.4%, and Anamika Kumari from the Humanities stream with 96%. Soon after the declaration of the results, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma congratulated the successful students and extended their heartfelt wishes for their bright future. An attempt to make Guinness Book World Record Founder of Chinmaya Mission, Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati had a vision and mission to educate the future generations with the Vedantas and rich cultural heritage of India. For this, he established the Chinmaya Mission and further, Chinmaya Vidyalayas all over the globe. On his 110th Jayanti, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro participated in the Chinmaya Gita Samarpanam, Global Gita Chanting of Chapter 15 - Purshottam Yog. This chanting was an attempt to make a Guinness Book World Record, as more than 2,00,000 devotees joined together virtually and chanted the gita sholkas. From Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, more than 5000+ devotees joined the chanting with 95 hosts. Across India and abroad more than 20,000 hosts conducted the Geeta chanting. With the divine blessings of Gurudev, the chanting was conducted smoothly and successfully.

Chinmaya Smiles Back Scholarship 2026 Felicitation at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro

Scholarship is not merely financial assistance; it is a source of motivation, encouragement, and hope for a brighter future. Recognizing this noble purpose, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro & Chinmaya Smiles Back, functioning under the aegis of the Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Alumni Association, has been extending support to deserving students every year, thereby strengthening their confidence and morale. On Saturday, a scholarship distribution ceremony was organized in the seminar hall of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, where scholarships were awarded to 50 meritorious students under the ‘Talent Nurturing’ and ‘Vidya-Vritti’ schemes. The scholarship amounts were transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts through cheques. The Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, Sri Ajay Nath Jha, IAS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, President Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Principal Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Narmendra Kumar, and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. The programme commenced with a traditional welcome accorded to the Chief Guest, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Addressing the gathering during the welcome speech, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma conveyed his best wishes to all the students and expressed gratitude to the guests and parents for their presence. He stated that the scholarships provided by Chinmaya Smiles Back serve as a powerful source of encouragement for deserving students and reflect a meaningful contribution towards social welfare. Thereafter, the Chief Guest formally distributed cheques and certificates of appreciation to all 50 scholarship recipients. A total scholarship amount of ₹8,76,000 was distributed, including ₹2,81,000 under the Talent Nurturing Scheme and ₹5,95,000 under the Vidya-Vritti Scheme. While addressing the students, DC Bokaro, Shri Ajay Nath Jha congratulated the scholarship recipients and wished them success in their future endeavours. He remarked that such scholarships play a crucial role in helping students realize their dreams and aspirations. Appreciating the efforts of Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Chinmaya Smiles Back, he described the initiative as a commendable example of social service and community support. 110th Gurudev Jayanti Celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro celebrated the 110th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, the revered founder of the Chinmaya Mission, with deep devotion and spiritual fervour on Friday. To mark the auspicious occasion, a special Guru Paduka Puja and Annadaanam were organised. The sacred Guru Paduka Puja was performed by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro. The solemn ceremony was graced by the presence of President Mr. Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma, Deputy Manager Mr. Puneet Doshi, and Academic Supervisor Mr. Rahul Roy. Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati enlightened the students about the inspiring life, teachings, and timeless ideals of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Thereafter, the traditional puja rituals were performed with great reverence. Swamini ji, along with the students, chanted the 108 names of Gurudev, invoking his divine blessings. The ceremony concluded with the Gurudev Aarti and soulful devotional bhajans, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere across the campus. Student Tributes and Special Activities: To commemorate the occasion, a variety of programmes and activities were conducted across all sections of the school: Pre-Primary Wing: The tiny tots offered floral tributes to Gurudev and presented a short yet meaningful play highlighting his values and teachings. Primary Wing (Classes I & II): Students organized an Annadaanam initiative by distributing food to the needy and presented a devotional song dedicated to Gurudev. Classes III to V: A special assembly featuring colourful song and dance performances was organized. Students also showcased their creativity by preparing handmade birthday cards for Gurudev. Classes VI to XII: Students conducted a special assembly comprising music, dance, and insightful presentations on the life and philosophy of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Class XII students further paid tribute by beautifully decorating their classrooms and creating intricate Rangoli designs. These decorations and Rangolis will be evaluated as part of an inter-house competition. Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma expressed his happiness and pride in witnessing the students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro imbibing the ideals and values of Gurudev in their daily lives. Paying homage to Gurudev, he reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to realizing Swamiji’s vision of value-based education and holistic development — a commitment reflected in the school’s consistent excellence and achievements.

Investiture Assembly 2026–27: Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Welcomes Its New Student Council

Student life is a formative phase during which young minds cultivate essential social, emotional and intellectual competencies alongside academic excellence. Learning to shoulder responsibilities from an early age lays a strong foundation for character building and lifelong success. The newly appointed Student Council and Prefects embody this spirit of leadership, commitment and accountability. The ceremony was graced by Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. Distinguished faculty members, including Mr. Subrat Gupta, Mr. Keshabh Tiwari, Mrs. Priyanka Jaiswal, Mr. Sanjeev Singh, Mr. Pranjal Saikia and Mr. Rahul Roy, were also present. The programme was seamlessly anchored by Mr. Arpan Chakraborty and Mrs. Minakshi Kumari. The formal investiture ceremony commenced with a solemn prayer, setting a dignified tone for the occasion. This was followed by a synchronized march-past of the newly elected Student Council and lPrefects, accompanied by the school’s NCC cadets. As their names and respective portfolios were announced, the student leaders were invited on stage. World Environment Day 2026 - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro

"Save the Nature, to Save the Future." This is not only a quotation, but a fact which has become mandatory in the 21st Century. To encourage this sense of "Save Nature", World Environment Day is observed every year on 5th June. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro celebrated World Environment Day on Friday with great enthusiasm and a deep commitment towards environmental conservation. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature and preserving biodiversity. Around 100 students actively participated in a "Tree Plantation Drive" conducted in the Rose Garden of the Vidyalaya. The students planted saplings and learned about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future. A "Nature Walk" was also organized in the Biodiversity Park. During the walk, students explored a variety of plants, herbs, and trees and gained valuable knowledge about their medicinal, ecological, and environmental significance. The activity helped them develop a closer connection with nature and appreciate the rich biodiversity around them. The program was attended by Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar, Shri Kumod Ranjan, Smt. Priyanka Jaiswal, School Activity Coordinator Shri Subrata Gupta, along with four gardeners who guided and supported the students throughout the event. One of the highlights of the celebration was the participation of Gen - Z students in a symbolic tree-hugging activity. By embracing the trees, they expressed their love and concern for nature while remembering the spirit of the historic Chipko Movement led by environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna. The celebration concluded with a pledge by all present to protect the environment through responsible actions and by planting more trees. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and successfully inspired students to become environmentally conscious citizens and active guardians of nature.

Induction Program for Std. XI (आरंभ) - Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro

Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro organized an Orientation and Induction Program for the students who have taken admission to Class XI for the academic session 2026–27 on Tuesday. The program was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, Shri Ajay Nath Jha, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro; President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary; Shri R. N. Malik, Treasurer; Shri Suraj Sharma, Principal; Shri Narendra Kumar, Senior Vice Principal; and Dr. Roshan Sharma, Vice Principal. The program commenced with the presentation of a sapling to the Chief Guest as a symbol of respect and environmental consciousness. This was followed by a welcome song presented by the students. A special video showcasing the celebrations and achievements of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav was then screened. Welcoming the gathering, Principal extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and congratulated all the students for their commendable performance in the Class X Board Examination. He emphasized that Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro consistently strives for the holistic development and success of its students. He also highlighted the school’s major achievements and accomplishments before the parents and students. The program continued with a graceful dance presentation of Saraswati Vandana by the students, creating a serene and divine atmosphere. This was followed by a virtual tour of the school. The program anchors, Apoorva Jha and Aniket Jaiswal, acquainted the audience with the various facilities provided by the school and its outstanding results in competitive examinations. Thereafter, the Chief Guest felicitated students who had excelled in the Class X Board Examination by presenting them with cheques worth ₹15,000 each as a token of appreciation for their achievement. Addressing the gathering, Shri Ajay Nath Jha stated that admission to Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro is itself a matter of pride. He remarked that the students of the institution have consistently brought laurels not only to the district but also to the state and the nation. He emphasized that the unique strength of Chinmaya Vidyalaya lies in its harmonious blend of culture and values. Along with academic excellence, students are nurtured with a deep connection to Indian traditions and heritage. He particularly addressed the girl students, encouraging them to recognize and fulfil their significant role in the nation’s development. In her address, Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati remarked that Chinmaya Vidyalaya provides an environment that is much more than a school—it is a family for its students. She highlighted that while academic knowledge is important, becoming a good human being is even more essential. She reiterated that the school remains committed to the inclusive and holistic development of every student. Subsequently, Senior Vice Principal Shri Narendra Kumar introduced the faculty members of all subjects and the administrative staff to the new students and their parents. Mrs. Sudha Bala from the IT Department familiarized the parents and students with the school website and digital platforms. Towards the end of the program, Ishan Sinha and Aditya Ranjan, successful candidates of JEE Advanced 2026, shared their experiences and insights with the newly admitted students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma.

Capacity Building Programme at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro

One-Day Capacity Building Workshop was successfully organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Saturday dated 2.4.26 at the Swami Tejomayananda Hall. The workshop was centered on the theme ‘Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL)’. The session was conducted by the resource persons, Mr. Suraj Sharma, Principal of the school, and Mrs. Riya Mukherjee, Head of the English Department at Samford International Academy, Jainamore. The programme was also graced by the presence of Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. The workshop commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious welcome song presented by the teachers of the Music Department. Social Awareness is Essential from an Early Age: Mr. Suraj Sharma In the opening session, the first resource person, Mr. Suraj Sharma, addressed the teachers and highlighted the importance of nurturing social awareness in students from a young age. He emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, children are gradually becoming disconnected from society, making it essential to instill empathy and sensitivity in them.
